Want to Work at dBG?

If you have an enquiring mind and an enthusiasm for getting things done, then we'd love to hear from you.

Have a read below, and if you like what you see, send us your CV to careers@debanke.com and tell us why you'd like to work with dBG or one of our companies.

  • Our People

Our people are creative, and brilliant. They love what they do, and are the character and personality of every product and service we offer.

  • Our Facilities

Our facilities are modern, fresh and vibrant. We don't believe in glass towers or having the "right" postcode. Another reason why our people love where they work.

  • Our Technology

Many of our products and services rely on state-of-the-art technology. That's why we build it all in-house, from circuitry to software.

Why Work With Us?

  • We're successful

We're profitable and we have a record of consistent growth. So opportunities for personal development within the business are obvious and frequent.

  • We're independent

We're not accountable to a board of investors so we can make decisions quickly. Amongst other benefits, it results in a vibrant and entrepreneurial atmosphere.

  • We're friendly

We're not the least bit 'stuffy'. Throughout every company within our Group, we encourage a modern, informal and enquiring environment. There's the culture to express your ideas and to get noticed.

  • We're diverse

Our businesses are spread across a wide range of sectors with a global reach. So we can offer a varied and exciting mix of job and career opportunities.

  • We're picky

We only hire the best - so you know that the people you work alongside will be the best, just like you. That means you don't have to support people who aren't doing their jobs properly: just concentrate on doing great work.

How to land a job at de Banke Group

We want you to be successful. We look for people, not CVs. We are more impressed by character, personality, drive and honesty, than we are by qualifications, or even experience.

So if that's you, here are our tips to get you noticed.

Your CV

  • Read the job advert carefully

Digest every detail, especially any requests for information, and make this information easy to spot, so we know you've taken the time to respond.

  • Show us we're different

Set yourself apart by showing that the job at de Banke Group is of special interest to you. Do a bit of research and tell us why we're the organisation for you.

  • Be honest

It can be tempting! But there's nothing that will get your application rejected quicker than a porkie pie! And we're really good at spotting them. We know you're not perfect, and neither are we. That's OK.

  • Drop the cliché

Don't be a clone. Just talk to us. Re-read your CV, and if it has any wording in it you wouldn't use with your friends, drop it and put something more human in there instead. You may be a "passionate, highly-motivated team-player, who is capable of working alone in a goal orientated environment", but we don't want to hear about that on your CV along with everyone elses. We're people, so just tell us what you love, what you're good at, what you want to be better at, what you're trying to achieve and tell us in plain language. Let us read a bit of your personality.

Preparing for the interview

  • Research

We receive a lot of CVs, and you've been chosen. It's worth spending some time researching the company you're interviewing for, whether that be de Banke Group, or one of our subsidiary companies. You don't have to know everything, but we're always impressed if you've learnt a few key things.

  • Appointment details

Double check all the details. What time, who you're meeting, and what their position is. Parking outside our offices is easy, but we can be hard to find, so leave yourself some time. Walk into the office bang on time, rather than early or late.

At the interview

  • Relax

We're on your side. We work hard to find great people with the right attitude. We're not like most other organisations. We want to meet you, and we're as eager to find you as you are to find us. The stuff that impresses us you can't fake, so just relax, and have fun.

  • Be honest

We don't mind if you're not the whole package yet. If you need training, we'll work with you. The most important thing is that you're honest, decent, hard working, passionate and that you care about doing a great job with a team of amazing like-minded people. The fastest way to get us to reject you is to tell us a fib! Honesty and integrity are at the very core of everything we do.

  • Be human

Leave the jargon and rehearsed snippets in the car park. Corporate drones need not apply.
